Past Performance Across Indian Country

From custom homes to federally funded infrastructure, delivered for Tribal Nations.

We serve Tribal clients in two ways: as General Contractor and as Construction Manager. The title changes; the commitment doesn’t — quality work, transparent communication, and decisions made in the Tribe’s best interest from RFP through closeout. Framing homes or managing a Department of Energy project, we hold the same line.

Two Ways We Serve

As General Contractor, We Build.

Homes, Tribal facilities, and community spaces delivered design to finish, with single-point accountability.

As Construction Manager, We Manage.

Acting on behalf of the Tribe, we lead RFPs, budgets, contractor coordination, and federal compliance, protecting the owner’s interests at every phase.

Mesa Grande Band of Indians North Field Phase 1A Housing Development

Sovereignty Construction will be serving as Agency Construction Manager for the Mesa Grande Indian Housing Authority’s North Field Phase 1A development on the Mesa Grande Reservation near Santa Ysabel, California. The project will be delivering 12 new homes — eight two-bedroom and four four-bedroom — along with a community room and full site infrastructure, including roads, water, wastewater, electrical, and internet, on previously undeveloped tribal trust land. Funded by a $12 million California HCD Tribal Homekey grant, it will be standing as MGIHA’s largest housing development to date and the first phase of a master-planned community expected to exceed 100 homes. As a Native-owned firm, Sovereignty will be advising MGIHA through design, procurement, and construction administration from pre-development through move-in, keeping the project compliant with federal grant requirements and on schedule for completion in 2027.
